For my research topic, I will attempt to answer the questions: How has social media positively and negatively impacted the fashion world/industry? In what ways has it changed society’s perspective on body image and self-love? Why has social media became a cornerstone for cyber bullying?

    That's a great idea!! I feel it has definitely changed the society's perspectives on body images because it's not the same exact body types being used to advertise clothing now, it has opened up people's minds, and given people with different types of body types courage!     Hi, my research project is about how new media impacts e-commerce, however I concentrate more on apparel or fashion e-commerce. So, it is something close to your topic. I did't include any negative aspects of social media's negative effects on fashion industry. What are your examples?

The rise of new media has presented many advantages and disadvantages. One downside are the issues of privacy and confidentiality.  Social media, especially, has allowed  people to become "open books". It's hard to think of a new media that isn't already out there, in a world that is constantly reinventing. My idea would be to create personalized keyboards with actually emoji keys. Just as you have all the letters, numbers, symbols, etc., my keyboard would have a certain number of emojis (choose the ones you use the most or like the best), and put them on there as well. Instead of having to look through a list of emojis, you can just click on the "😊".  Side note: I just had to go search for the smiley face emoji on my laptop because it isn't available through here, and that was pretty annoying.
