Wiki So Far

So far in our class Wiki I have contributed to the Fashion page, which I suggested the professor create after seeing it had not existed before. I also added to the Love page, just jumping off where another classmate had left off. In the future, I want to add to the Music page, giving my take on the Hispanic/Latino music in my culture.

P2P

The emergence of the web has made file sharing easy, quick, and convenient, especially through forms like peer-to-peer sharing and file synching services.  According to Wikipedia, "File sharing  is the practice of  distributing  or providing access to  digital media , such as  computer programs ,  multimedia  (audio, images and video), documents or  electronic books ."  P2P File sharing refers to the before mentioned peer-to-peer form of file sharing, which is the distribution of digital media using P2P networking technology. P2P sharing has evolved from its early design stages like Napster, to the more widely known BitTorrent. The widely known adoption of this sharing method  includes increasing Internet bandwidth, the widespread digitization of physical media, and the increasing capabilities of residential personal computers.  However, file sharing has led to copyright and legal issues.  Online piracy refers to illegal, unethical, and unauthorized use of the reproduction of

Privacy

The rise of new media has presented many advantages and disadvantages. With this, people form relationships with strangers, while claiming to be someone else. The people who's informatio

Advice

I would suggest updating the systems to make the pages more  modern and manageable. I would offer help in giving the pages a face lift; make it easier to search for your classes and communicate with professors, and make a quick guide or informational that first times users can access understand how to navigate the pages, especially helpful for freshman or transfer students. Another suggestion would be to make an app for these websites. It would be so much easier for students and faculty to access the pages through the App Store or Play Store, the way you would see Twitter on an expanded web version or in a more compressed mobile app version. Furthermore, I would plea for better Wifi service in the school and places accessible by campus. Currently in college, one of my biggest issues have been not being able to work on my laptop all
